Children & Youth

Nursery

Childcare is available from 9:30-11:30am for infants to 3 year olds in our nursery space, just a hallway away from the sanctuary.

Library Listening Space for Families

Your children are always welcome to be in worship with us. If they ever need more room to move or make noise, there is a library space just outside the sanctuary with children’s books and toys. The sound from the service is accessible there.

Children’s Chapel

During the 10am service, children in PK to 2nd grade are invited to attend an age- appropriate service with story, prayer, and craft activities in our upstairs chapel space. They begin with us in the sanctuary before they process out for Children’s Chapel and return to the main service before communion.

3rd-5th Grade Class

Children in 3rd grade and above worship with us in the main service. We provide fidget toys and children’s bulletins on the bookshelves outside the sanctuary to help children engage in worship. Once or twice a month, this age group gathers at 11:00am for connection and learning.

Youth Formation (6th-9th Graders)

Most Sundays from August to May our youth gather for formation in the Youth Lounge at
11:00am for a time of connection and learning.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long are the services?

The 8:00am is 45 minutes, and the 10:00am is typically an hour. If something special is happening the later service may go an extra 15 minutes.

What should I wear?

Be comfortable and come as you are. If this means flip flops and shorts during the summer or if suit jackets and formal dress are more your style, we welcome you. We are grateful for your presence when you visit, no matter the attire.

Can I (or my kids) take communion?

The altar is God’s table, and we believe God seeks to nourish all. You (and your kids) are welcome to come forward to receive communion. You can receive just the bread and pass on the chalice or either sip or intinct (dip) the host in the chalice.
If you would prefer a blessing instead of communion, simply place your hands in front of your heart to signify that you would like a blessing. You are also free to remain in your pew during communion.

How will I know what to do?

Most of the service is printed in a bulletin. With time the rhythm of the service becomes known. Also, you might notice that people approach their faithful responses in different ways. For instance some people might stand during the Prayers-of-the-People, while others kneel. After a few services you’ll know what feels right for you.
