Summer Arts Programming

A Space to Create

Join us for a season of creativity and fun! Funded by the rector’s sabbatical grant from the Lilly Foundation, there are several arts programming events schedule this summer.

All activities are appropriate for 6th grade and up; Greeting Cards and Peace Cranes will have activities for younger children offered simultaneously.

Registration is necessary for all activities except paper cranes; registrations close two weeks prior to the event for supply purchasing reasons.

Painting & Prayer

Saturday, June 8 | 10:00am – Noon

Engage prayer in a new way. Led by artist Tish Reed from ‘Create 2 Breathe’. You will create a prayerful piece with acrylic paint.

Mosaic Art

Saturday, June 29 | 2:00 – 4:00pm

Join in making a collaborative art piece! Each person will create a 6×6 mosaic glass square which will then be arranged together for display.

Greeting Cards

Sunday, July 21 | 11:15am

Show you care with a card. You are invited to create custom cards and share in lunch together.

Paper Cranes

Sunday, August 11 | 11:15am

To symbolize peace, we will create hundreds of origami paper cranes for a visual installation.

Blanket Making

Create a gift for yourself, someone else, or donate a warm, soft handmade blanket – made by you!

Parish Retreat | Labor Day Weekend

Let’s reconnect after the summer sabbatical and enjoy our first in a long-time parish retreat.  We will join in the Labor Day camp weekend offered by Waycross Camp, our diocesan camp in Brown County.

Waycross staff will facilitate a variety of activities, and there will also be plenty of time for rest and relaxation. Experience campfires, worship, games, and more together!

There is something for everyone, and participants are encouraged to join in as much or as little as they like! A variety of housing options are available.

Financial assistance is also available through the sabbatical grant we received.  Please let Rev. Chana know if you are in need of assistance so that can be arranged.
